To set the maximum number of failed logon attempts

Using the Windows interface

  1. Open Services for UNIX Administration.
  2. If necessary, connect to the remote computer you want to manage.
  3. Click Telnet Server.
  4. Click the Server Settings tab.
  5. In the Maximum number of failed logon attempts list, click the number of failed logon attempts a user will be allowed.
  6. To save the settings, click Apply.

Using a command line

Argument Description
computer The name of the remote computer you want to manage.
positiveInteger The maximum number of failed logon attempts allowed to a user. Must be a positive integer less than 100.
