Click Start, point to Programs, point to
Windows Services for UNIX, and then right-click Interix
Korn Shell or Interix C Shell.
Click Properties, and then click the Colors
tab.
Click an element for which you want to set the color: Screen
text, Screen background, Popup text or Popup
background.
On the row of colors provided, click the color you want to use,
and then click Apply.
If you want to set the color of another element, click that
element, click the color you want, and then click
Apply.
When you have applied all of the changes you want, click
OK.
To see the new settings, open the shell for which you have set
the colors.
Note
You can also change console window settings from an open
Interix console window. Right-click the title bar, and then click
Properties. When you save the changes, you will be asked
whether you want to apply the changed properties to the current
window only, or to the shortcut that started the window. Choose the
latter option. After using this method, commands such as
clear might not work properly. To ensure that they do, close
the console window, and then reopen it.
