Click Start, point to Programs, point to
Windows Services for UNIX, and then right-click Interix
Korn Shell or Interix C Shell.
Click Properties.
Click the Layout tab.
Under Window size, in the Width box, type or
select the new window width; in the Height box, type or
select the new window height.
When you are satisfied with the dimensions you have chosen,
click Apply, and then click OK.
To view the changes, open the shell to which the new dimensions
apply.
Notes
You can also change console window settings from an open
Interix console window. To do so, right-click the title bar, and
then click Properties. When you save the changes, you will
be asked whether you want to apply the changed properties to the
current window only, or to the shortcut that started the window.
Choose the latter option. After using this method, commands such as
clear might not work properly. To ensure that they do, close
the console window, and then reopen it.
You can also change the window size using the Interix
stty command. For example, to set the window to 120 columns
wide and 45 rows high, type:
stty columns 12 rows 45
This change is in effect for this console session only and does not
affect any default settings.
