1. Open Services for UNIX Administration.
2. If necessary, connect to the computer you want to manage.
3. Click Server for NFS.
4. Click the Client Groups tab.
5. In the Current Groups list, click the group you want to rename, then click Rename Group.
6. In the New Group Name box, type the new name for the group, and then click OK.
7. To save the settings, click Apply.

Notes

• To open Services for UNIX Administration, click Start, point to Programs, point to Windows Services for UNIX, and then click Services for UNIX Administration.
• You cannot give a group the same name as a client in the group.

• At a command prompt, type:

  nfsadmin server [\\remoteMachineName] renamegroup oldname newname

Argument	Description
remoteMachineName	The name of the computer you want to manage.
oldname	The current name of the group you want to change.
newname	The new name for the group.

Notes

• To view the complete syntax for this command, at a command prompt, type:

• nfsadmin server /?

• You cannot give a group the same name as a client in the group.
