To hide files with names beginning with a period

Using the Windows interface

Open Services for UNIX Administration.
If necessary, connect to the computer you want to manage.
Click Server for NFS.
Click the Server Settings tab.
Select the Create files that have names beginning with ‘.’ as hidden files check box.
To save the settings, click Apply.

Note

To open Services for UNIX Administration, click Start, point to Programs, point to Windows Services for UNIX, and then click Services for UNIX Administration.

Using a command line

At a command prompt, type:
nfsadmin server [\\remoteMachineName] config dotfileshidden={yes | no}

Argument	Description
remoteMachineName	The name of the computer you want to manage.

To view the complete syntax for this command, at a command prompt, type:
nfsadmin server /?
