To start and stop Remote Shell service
Using
the Windows interface
- Do one of the following:
- In Windows NT, click Start, point to
Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click
Services.
- In Windows 2000, click Start, point to
Settings, click Control Panel, double-click
Administrative Tools, and then double-click
Services.
- In Windows XP, click Start, point to Control
Panel, point to Administrative Tools, and then click
Services.
- In the list of services, right-click Remote Shell
Service.
- Click Start or Stop.
Using
a command line
- At a command prompt:
To start Remote Shell Service (rshsvc), type:
net start rshsvc
To stop Remote Shell Service (rshsvc), type:
net stop rshsvc
