1. Open Add/Remove Programs.
2. Click Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX.
3. Click Change.
4. Click Next.
5. Click Add or remove, and then click Next.
6. In the Components, click Server for NIS, click Will be installed on local hard drive, and then click Next.
7. Follow the remaining instructions in the Wizard.

Notes

• To open Add/Remove Programs, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
• Server for NIS must be installed on an Active Directory domain controller.
• Server for NIS cannot be run from a network server. All files must be installed on the local computer.

• At a command prompt, type:

  msiexec /i sfusetup.msi /qb addlocal="NIS"
