Administering User Name Mapping

The main administrative requirement for User Name Mapping is to update mappings when users are added or removed from Windows-based or UNIX-based computers. You can also use User Name Mapping to back up or restore mapping information to a file. In addition, you can use the backup and restore capabilities of User Name Mapping to transfer mapping information between computers that are both running User Name Mapping.

To administer User Name Mapping, using either the Windows interface or command-line methods, you must be logged on as a domain user belonging to the server Administrators group.
