NAME

mvwtmpx - rename current wtmpx file and start new one

SYNOPSIS

mvwtmpx newname

DESCRIPTION

The mvwtmpx(1) utility renames the current /var/adm/wtmpx file to newname and ensures that a new one is started in its place. No data is lost during the renaming process.

DIAGNOSTICS

The mvwtmpx(1) utility exits with status 0 for success, and >0 if an error occurred.
