NAME

hostname - print name of current host system

SYNOPSIS

hostname [-a] | [-i] | [-s]

DESCRIPTION

The hostname(1) utility prints the name of the current host. Unlike traditional implementations, this version cannot be used to set the host name. See Windows Help for instructions on setting the host name.

-a

Print all addresses for your computer.

-i

Print the current Internet Protocol (IP) address for your computer.

-s

Print host name as a string without domain information.
