Exporting and Importing Report Definitions

Reports for Inventory or Metering are stored in the database as XML data. You can export the XML report definition and import it in another Snow Inventory repository.

To export a report definition:

1.	Go to Inventory Reports (or Metering Reports) by clicking at the Reports link in Task Panel.

2.	Click the Export toolbar button

3.	Choose XML as file format

4.	Type the name of the file you want to save the report definition to

5.	Click OK to save.

To import a report definition:

1.	Open Inventory Reports (or Metering Reports) by clicking at the Reports link in Task Panel.

2.	Click the Import toolbar button

3.	Chose the file you saved above.

4.	Click OK to proceed.

5.	Type the name of the report when prompted (by default the name of the file is used as name of the report).

6.	Click OK to open the file and import into the repository.
