Summary
As you can see, SMS 2003 represents yet
another significant advance from previous versions of SMS. It has a
robust feature set, increased functionality, improved client
support, and extensive status messaging and troubleshooting tools.
It can take advantage of Active Directory, and it provides reliable
support for Advanced Clients such as portable computers. We’ve
reviewed most of the enhancements and new features that an SMS 2.0
administrator will encounter when implementing and managing an SMS
2003 environment. We’ll explore all of these more extensively as we
progress through this book.
