Viewing Permissions When you select a file or folder, the explicit permissions that exist for that object are displayed. You also can view full permissions on the actual file/folder/share object by selecting the Show Full Permissions check box. When full permissions are displayed, the owner is displayed as well. Depending on the amount of information and other environmental factors, loading full permissions may take some time. To view explicit permissions • Select a file or folder. To view full permissions • Select Show Full Permissions to initiate a refresh of the Permissions list to include full permissions. Full permissions include both explicit and inherited permissions. The owner is displayed as well. If full permissions cannot be obtained, the explicit permissions are displayed and the Show Full Permissions check box is cleared. To sort the information • Click the column header to sort on that field. To sort in the opposite order, click the column header again.
