To enable Process Manager to initiate LANDesk Management Suite
actions, you need to provide the credentials for the LANDesk core
servers you will be accessing in your workflows. You configure
these settings using Process Manager's Database Utility. Once
you have created and saved these settings, any cores you've defined
will be selectable from the Attributes window when you include LDMS
actions in your workflows. Only those cores defined here will be
accessible to LANDesk actions.
Using the Database Utility, you can add cores, edit their
credentials, or remove them from the list.
To define a LANDesk core
Start the Database Utility and enter your username,
password, the database server, and the database name.
Click Test Connection to verify that you are
able to connect to the database.
Click Configure and restart services.
Click the LANDesk Management Suite Cores
tab.
Click Add, and enter a display name and core
machine name.
Note: The core name is displayed in the Network View in the LDMS
Console, and the Display name you provide here is used when
manually mapping fields (instead of autogenerating them) when you
create a Database listener that will monitor the LDMS core (see
"Database event
listener").
Enter the core username (domain\username) and
password.
Click OK to save the credentials for the new
core.
Click OK to save the new core settings and
restart the service.
Click OK to close the service restarted
message box.
Click Close.
The LANDesk core will now be selectable from the dialog box when
defining the core credential set for LANDesk workflow actions in
Process Designer.
