Enabling the Windows Event Log Listener

The Windows Event Log listener must be enabled to collect data for the Windows Event Log report.

Note: The Windows Event Log Listener cannot be enabled through the web interface; it must be enabled in the WhatsUp Gold console.

To enable the Windows Event Log listener:

1. Select Configure > Program Options. The Program Options dialog opens.
2. Select Passive Monitors Listeners.
3. Select Windows Event Log, then click Configure. The Windows Event Log Listener Configuration dialog opens.
4. Select Start Listener to enable the SNMP Trap Listener.
5. Click OK.
