Action Policy Selection

Action policies are used by WhatsUp Gold to assign multiple actions to devices, without having to configure each action for every device.

• Do not apply an action policy. If you select this option, no action policy will be assigned to the new devices. To assign actions later, go to Device Properties > Actions.
• Assist in creating a new action policy. WhatsUp Gold will help you create a simple action policy to apply to the devices added to this scan.
• Manually create an action policy. Select this option to access the Action Policy Editor. Through that dialog, you can create an action policy on your own.
• Apply this action policy. Select an existing action policy from the pull-down box. This policy will be applied to all of the devices being added during this scan.
