Program Options - Remote Site

Use this dialog to enable and configure a WhatsUp Remote Site to connect and communicate with the WhatsUp Central Site. The Central Site allows you to connect from Remote Sites for reporting capabilities.

Enter the appropriate information in the following fields:

• Enable Remote Site reporting. Select this option to enable the Remote Site to communicate with the Central Site.

Central Site connection information

• Address. Enter an IP address for the Central Site to which you are connecting.
• TCP Port. Enter the TCP port for the Remote Sites to use to connect to the Central Site. This must match the port setting configured for the Central Site.

Central Site Login credentials

• User name. Enter the User name set up to access the Central Site.
• Password. Enter the Password set up to access the Central Site (for the user name above).

Remote Site connection information

• Display name. Enter the Remote Site Display name that the Central Site will use to identify this Remote Site (for example, Atlanta Office). This name will be particularly helpful to identify reports associated with each Remote Site. The default name is the computer name.
• HTTP address. Enter the appropriate HTTP address that the Central Site will use to access this Remote Site's Web interface.

  Important: Do not include trailing slashes in the HTTP address.

Click OK to save changes.
