About the upgrade conversion process

The Vault configuration is converted to the 7.0 format when you invoke the NetBackup Vault Manager (nbvault) at the end of an upgrade installation of NetBackup.

The upgrade conversion process first creates a saved version of the existing Vault configuration file as follows:

UNIX

/usr/openv/netbackup/db/vault/vault.xml.save.YYYMMDD-HHMMSS

Windows

install_path\db\vault\vault.xml.save.YYYYMMDD-HHMMSS

It then converts or upgrades the Vault configuration file as follows:

UNIX

/usr/openv/netbackup/db/vault/vault.xml
