Set Sort Criteria dialog box

Use the Sort dialog box to specify the sort criteria for the items in the Details panes.

To save the sort order, click Settings > Save as Default on the shortcut menu.

You can change the order the columns are displayed in the window.

The options on the dialog box are as follows:

Sort Ascending. Sorts the selected columns in ascending order. (Ctrl+A)

Sort Descending. Sorts the selected columns in descending order. (Ctrl+E)

Do Not Sort. Do not sort the selected columns. (Ctrl+N)

Move Up. Moves the selected column up in the sort order. (Ctrl+U)

Move Down. Moves the selected column down in the sort order. (Ctrl+D)

To specify sort criteria

  1. The first heading item at the top of the window is the column sorted on first, the second item at the top of the window is the column sorted on second, and so on.

  2. Select the first column to sort on by choosing a column header from the Sort items by pull-down list.

  3. Select Ascending or Descending for the sort order.

  4. To sort on other columns, choose a column header from each Then by option and choose a sort order.

  5. When you are finished, click OK.
