Adding batch files to the backup selections list

Note:

Specify the correct batch file names in the backup selections list to prevent an error or possibly a wrong operation. Make sure that the batch file resides on the client before you try to add it to the backup selections list.

add batch files to the backup selections list

  1. In the Policy dialog box, click the Backup Selections tab.

To access the Policy dialog box, double-click the policy name in the Policies list in the NetBackup Administration Console.

  2. Click New.

  3. Specify the names of the batch files that you want NetBackup to use.

Use one of the following methods:

    • Type the full path name of the batch file on the client.

For example, a path name for a batch file that backs up a database may be:

      install_path\NetBackup\DbExt\Mssql\bkup.bch

install_path refers to the directory where you installed the NetBackup software. By default, this directory is C:\Program Files\VERITAS\.

You can also specify only the file name if the batch file resides in the install_path\NetBackup\Dbext\Mssql\ directory.

    • Click the Remote Folder option.

Navigate to and select the batch file and click OK.

  4. Click OK.
