Defining the properties for a Lotus Notes client from the Windows registry

The following instructions describe how to define the properties for a Lotus Notes client from the Windows registry.

To define properties for a Lotus Notes client from the Windows registry

  1. From the Windows Start menu, select Run.

  2. In the Run box, type regedit and press Enter.

  3. In the Registry Editor, open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE key and navigate the tree to the following key:

    SOFTWARE\Veritas\NetBackup\CurrentVersion\Config
    
  4. Add (or edit) the following string values:

    LOTUS_NOTES_PATH

    The path where Lotus program files (nserver. exe) reside. For example:

    D:\Lotus\Domino

    LOTUS_NOTES_INI

    If the notes.ini file is not located in the default directory, provide the path and file name for notes.ini. For example:

    D:\Lotus\Domino\notes.ini

    LOTUS_NOTES_LOGCACHEPATH

    The directory where you want NetBackup to temporarily store the prefetched transaction logs. For example:

    D:\LogCache

  5. Add (or edit) the following DWORD value:

    LOTUS_NOTES_LOGCACHESIZE

    The maximum number of logs that can be prefetched in a single restore job during recovery. Specify a value greater than 1.

  6. To close the registry, select File > Exit.
