Setting the debug level

You can control the amount of information that is written to the debug logs by changing the General debug level. The higher the value, the more information is logged. For most operations, the default value of 0 is sufficient. However, technical support may ask you to set the value higher while a problem is analyzed.

To set the debug level

  1. Click Start > Programs > Symantec NetBackup > Backup, Archive, and Restore.

  2. Click File > NetBackup Client Properties.

  3. Click the Troubleshooting tab. By default, the settings are zero.

  4. Set the General debug level debug level.

  5. Click OK to save your changes.
