The transaction log of the database is used for database recovery. The transaction log for NBDB is NBDB.log and for BMRDB it is BMRDB.log.

The Transaction Log section of the dialog indicates the current logging mode: Partial or Full.

This section contains the following buttons:

•The Modify button lets the administrator set the transaction log mode to full or partial.

•The Truncate button lets the administrator truncate the database transaction log. Using the Truncate button forces a full hot catalog backup the next time any schedule of the catalog backup policy is due.
