The following describes the guidelines for restoring from a true image backup:
Restoring from a true image backup must be initiated from a full or incremental true image backup. However, NetBackup also searches user-directed backup images to ensure that the most recent files are restored.
The policy that performs the backup or archive of the directory must have the Collect true image restore information attribute enabled. Otherwise, you cannot restore a true image of a directory.
You can restore from the most recent full or incremental true image backup, or from an earlier one.
Only directories appear and can be selected when you restore from a true image backup. Individual files do not appear and cannot be selected for restore.
Individual files from a true image backup must be restored from normal or archived backups.
