About restoring from a true image backup

When you restore from a true image backup, you restore a directory (folder) with its contents exactly like the last full or incremental backup. You can restore from the most recent backup or from an earlier backup.

Note:

A restore from a true image backup is also referred to as a true image restore (TIR).

When you restore from a true image backup, NetBackup determines which files belong in the directory. It then reconstructs the directory by using the most recent backup of those files.

See Guidelines for restoring from a true image backup.

See Restoring from a true image backup.
