About Job Priority for restores

NetBackup has preset priorities for the various job functions it performs. When you perform a user-directed restore, you can change the job priority of that specific restore in the Restore Marked Files dialog box. On UNIX systems, you must be logged in as an administrator to change the job priority.

Changing the job priority in the Restore Marked Files dialog box does not change the restore priority anywhere else it may appear in NetBackup. This option only affects the current restore job.

By default, the preset priority for restore jobs is 90000, which is the highest preset job priority of any other NetBackup job. The available range is 0 - 99999. The higher the number, the greater the job priority.
