Selecting a Restore Destination

After selecting the items to restore, you must choose the location where you want the items restored.

Choose from the following destination options:

Restore everything to its original location

By default, this option is selected so that items are restored to the same location from where they were backed up.

This option works best when you restore from archived backups, since the backed up files are deleted from their original location after successful backup.

If the original location contains items with the same names, the restore operation (by default) does not replace or overwrite those items.

You can choose to overwrite items with the same name.

See Overwrite existing files.

You can choose to restore items with the same name with a temporary file name.

See Restore the file using a temporary file name.

Restore everything to a different location (maintaining existing structure)

Select this option to restore all items to a different location from where they were backed up. The structure or path of all items remains the same as they existed in the original location.
