Recommended Action: Do the following, as
appropriate:

Retry the operation and check the status or the
progress log on the client for any error messages that reveal the
problem.

Verify that the tape is available and readable.

Verify that the drive is in an UP state. Use the
Device Monitor.

Create a bptm debug
log on the server.

On a Windows client, create a tar debug log.

Retry the operation and check the resulting debug
logs.
