Disk Pools pane

Disk Pools shows information about the NetBackup disk pools in your configuration. NetBackup aggregates the disk into pools of storage you can use for backups. NetBackup manages the storage as a logical entity (a disk pool).

Description

% Full

The actual percentage of the disk pool that is used.

Available Space (GB)

The estimated free space in the disk pools.

Comment

A description of the disk pool.

High Water Mark (%)

The percentage of space used that determines when the disk pool is full. NetBackup does not write data until the low water mark is reached.

Low Water Mark (%)

The percentage of space used that determines when NetBackup can assign jobs that write date to the storage unit.

The Low Water Mark setting cannot be equal to or greater than the High Water Mark setting.

Name

The name of the disk pool.

Number of Media Servers

The number of media servers that can write to and read from the disk pool.

Number of Volumes

The number of disk volumes in the disk pool.

Raw Size (GB)

The raw, unformatted size of the storage in the disk pool.

Server Type

The storage server type. For OpenStorage, the server type depends on the vendor name.

Usable Size (GB)

The estimated amount of disk space available for storage after file metadata overhead is taken into account.

Used Capacity (GB)

The amount of storage space in use.

Volume

The number of disk volumes in the disk pool.
