On the Rotation wizard screen, specify how much time can elapse between successful catalog backups according to this schedule:

• Start a full catalog backup every field

  Indicate how much time can elapse between successful full catalog backups.

• Retain full backups field

  Indicate how long NetBackup should retain the catalog backups. When the retention period ends, NetBackup deletes information about the backups. The files in the backups are then unavailable to restore.

• Start an incremental backup drop-down box

  Choose one of the following methods in the drop-down box to determine when to start incremental backups:

  • Frequency

    An incremental backup runs at regular intervals as specified.

    By default, a frequency-based schedule is selected. This selection ensures that in busy environments where jobs are usually running, the catalog backup gets to run.

  • Every backup session end

    After a backup session ends (an incremental catalog backup begins every time a backup finishes and when no other regular backup is running)
