The Catalog Backup Wizard leads you through the configuration of the catalog backup. Specify when the catalog is backed up and to where it is backed up. You can select to back up the catalog to alternate destinations.
Backing up the catalog is essential since the catalog contains information about the NetBackup configuration and the files that have been backed up.
