The Fibre Transport master server properties apply to the SAN clients whose preferences have not been set explicitly.

The Fibre Transport media server property applies to the selected media servers.

The Fibre Transport client properties apply to the selected SAN clients. The defaults for clients are the property settings of the master server.

An FT device is the target mode driver on a NetBackup FT media server. An FT pipe is the logical connection that carries backup and restore data between an FT server and a SAN client.
