Quick and Long Erase dialog box

Use the Quick Erase dialog box to erase media. If you selected multiple volumes, all must be in the same robot.

To overwrite any existing labels on the media, do not select Verify media label before performing operation.

If you select Verify media label before performing operation and the actual volume label does not match the expected label, the media is not relabeled.

Use the Activity Monitor to view the status of the action.

Note:

If you erase media, the data on the media cannot be restored or imported.

Note:

For many types of drives, you may not be able to cancel a label or erase media job from the Activity Monitor.
