Disk storage units

If your environment matches any of the following, the wizard can create a disk storage unit for you:

You do not have any disk storage units currently defined.
You do not have any removable storage devices.
The wizard did not discover removable storage devices.

You can perform backups and restores with NetBackup by using a hard disk drive (or a portion of a disk drive). The wizard creates a NetBackup storage unit of type Disk.

The wizard sets default values for the storage unit.

You can use any location on the disk if sufficient space exists to hold your backup data.

To create a disk storage unit

Click Create a disk storage unit with the specified path.
Enter the complete path to the file system (folder) on your drive to store your backups. Alternatively, click Browse to search for a folder.
