Device Host

The name of the device host where this drive is attached.

Drive Comment

A brief statement that possibly explains how a drive is used.

Drive Index

The drive index that is assigned to the drive during configuration. If the drive is shared, use Actions > Drive Details to view the drive index for each host that shares this drive. Use the NetBackup Shared Storage Option for Tape to share a drive.

Drive Path

The path for the drive. For example, Tape5.

The external media ID is not recorded on the volume and is used to identify the volume before it is inserted in a robotic library.

LUN

The SCSI logical unit number of the robot (if the robot is connected to a Windows server).

Media Label

Shows whether a labeled or an unlabeled volume is mounted on this drive. Yes indicates that the media is labeled. No indicates that the media is not labeled. Labeled volumes can also be Backup Exec volumes. A dash (-) in this column means that no volume is mounted on the drive.

Port

The SCSI port number (if the robot is connected to a Windows server).

Ready

The status of the drive that indicates if it is ready to perform an operation on the loaded volume. Yes indicates that the drive is ready. No indicates that the drive is ready.

See the vendor's manual for the drive for instructions to make it ready if it does not become ready automatically.

Request ID

If this drive is assigned to a request, this column contains the ID of the request.

Robot Type

The type of robot that contains this drive. For example, TL4. NONE in this column indicates that the drive is a stand-alone drive. If the robot is partially configured, PCR is shown.
