Use the NetBackup Database Administration utility or the nbdb_unload command line utility to dump the entire NetBackup or Bare Metal Restore databases, or individual tables (one .dat file is created for each table), or schema. Use either method to create a copy of the SQL Anywhere database that may be requested in some customer support situations.

There should be no active connections to the database when nbdb_unload is run.

When either method is used, a reload.sql script is generated. The script contains all the code that is required to recreate the database. Symantec Technical Support uses this script and the associated files to assist in support cases.
