Any one of the following actions causes NetBackup to recalculate which schedule to run next in a policy:

• When a backup job finishes.

• When a client backup image expires.

• When the administrator changes the policy.

  NetBackup looks for updated policies every 10 minutes. (The length of time NetBackup waits can be configured by changing the Policy Update Interval in the Global Attributes host properties.) If the policy has just been updated, NetBackup waits an additional minute to be sure that changes are not currently underway.
