Scheduling by recurring week days

The Recurring Week Days option presents a matrix of days and weeks to schedule a task. The matrix is not a calendar. A check mark on a day indicates that the task is scheduled to run on that day of that week each month.

For example, schedule a task to run on the first and the third Thursday of every month. Or, schedule a task that runs the last week in every month.

To schedule a recurring weekly task

  1. In the NetBackup Administration Console, expand NetBackup Management > Policies.

  2. Select the policy name in the left pane.

  3. Double-click the schedule name in the Details pane.

  4. In the Calendar Schedule tab, select Recurring Week Days.

  5. If necessary, click Deselect All to remove existing selections from the matrix.

  6. Click a check box in the matrix to select the day. Or, click a check box to clear it.

  7. Click the name of the day column header to select or clear the corresponding day for each week of the month.

  8. Click a row number to select or clear the entire week.

  9. Click the check box for the appropriate day in the Last row to schedule a task for the last week of each month. The task is scheduled, regardless of the number of weeks in the month.

  10. After the dates are selected, select another tab to make changes or click OK to save and close the dialog box.
