Setting
the property on Windows hosts
On master and media
servers, the bpsetconfig command is
available to add the REVERSE_NAME_LOOKUP entry to the registry. The
bpsetconfig command is described in
NetBackup Commands.
To set the Reverse Host Name Lookup property on a Windows
client, add the REVERSE_NAME_LOOKUP
entry to the registry using the following method.
To update the registry

From the command line,
run regedit to open the registry
editor.

Navigate to the following
key directory:
My Computer/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\VERITAS\
NetBackup\CurrentVersion\Config

From the Edit menu,
select .

Name the String Value:
REVERSE_NAME_LOOKUP.

Give REVERSE_NAME_LOOKUP the value data of either
PROHIBITED, RESTRICTED, or ALLOWED.

Click and close the Registry Editor.
