The RESUME_ORIG_DUP_ON_OPT_DUP_FAIL entry specifies that NetBackup should perform normal duplication if an OpenStorage optimized duplication fails.
The default behavior is that NetBackup uses optimized duplication between the source and the target storage systems that support optimized duplication. (For example, between two deduplication media servers.) By default, if an optimized duplication job fails, NetBackup does not run the job again.
If this entry is not present, NetBackup does not perform normal duplication when an optimized duplication fails.
RESUME_ORIG_DUP_ON_OPT_DUP_FAIL = TRUE | FALSE
Make the following registry change so that NetBackup performs normal duplication if optimized duplication fails:
RESUME_ORIG_DUP_ON_OPT_DUP_FAIL = TRUE
