How can I make my file download faster?

You can increase the number of connections the Download Manager makes to increase the speed at which a file is downloaded.

To increase the number of connections:

1.      Click the Settings icon on the Download Manager toolbar to open the Settings dialog box.

2.      On the General tab, under Download options, select a higher number than the one currently shown in the Maximum number of connections list.

3.      Click OK to save your changes and close the Settings dialog box.

Note: Some download sources may not accept multiple connections to the same file or may limit the number of connections. If the Maximum number of connections set is above this limit, the number of maximum connections accepted by the source will be used. Download speed can also be limited by other factors, such as the network equipment or broadband speed between the Download Manager and the source, and the number of open applications using your bandwidth.
