Proxy settings

If "There was a problem accessing the file you want to download" or "Your download could not be completed" is displayed when downloading a file, you may need to check your proxy settings are correct.

To check your proxy settings:

1.      Click the Settings icon on the Download Manager toolbar to open the Settings dialog box.

2.      Click the Proxy tab.

3.      Check that the correct option is selected:

·        No proxy: Select this option if a proxy server is not used to connect to the Internet.

·        Use Browser Settings: Select to use the proxy settings configured in your Internet browser. See Using Internet Explorer proxy settings for more information.

·        Manual proxy configuration: Select to manually enter proxy settings. See Manually changing proxy settings for more information.

4.      If Manual proxy configuration is selected, either check that the proxy settings match the settings used to access the Internet in your Internet browser or ask your administrator to confirm the correct settings.

5.      If you make any changes, click OK to save the changes and close the Settings dialog box.
