Viewing Package Info Files

Information about a package, such as functionality and administration parameters, can be viewed in the Command Center. This information is written by the package writer when the package is created and cannot be modified using the Command Center. The package information is optional for the package writer to add. Therefore, in some cases there may not be any package information to view.

You can view there package information from the Scope pane, or when you set Administration Parameters while assigning a package to a computer.

To view the package information

  1. In the Scope pane, expand the server > Packages > Assignable Packages or Unassignable Packages.

  2. Expand the package in which you want to view the package information.

  3. Select Package Info.

The package information (if any for that package) is displayed in the Result pane.

To view the package information during package assignment

  1. Assign a package to a computer.

  2. In the Set Parameters dialog box, click Show Package Info.

The package information (if any for that package) is displayed in a new window.
