Server Properties Dialog Box – Network Load Control Tab

Allows you to control the timing of Symantec LiveState Delivery actions, define exception handling, and reduce network load.

Waiting time (sec)

Enter the number of seconds between renewed attempts by the computer to determine whether the job can be run.

Maximum lock tries

This setting is only valid with Windows Agent versions prior to Symantec LiveState Agent for Windows 7.1, and is ignored if set for the Agent for Windows 7.1.

 

Enter the maximum number of times the computer can check to determine whether the job can be run.

Network load reduction

Action

Waiting time between two file blocks (in ms)

This value multiplied by the computer’s priority is the actual waiting time between transmission of 16 KB blocks during the execution of the Pre-OS Agent.

Waiting time between two files (in ms)

This value multiplied by the computer’s priority is the actual waiting time between transmission of the files in a network boot. The setting applies only to copy procedures of the Agent for Windows.

Maximum number of simultaneously active computers:

Computers request access permission at regular intervals. Access is granted as soon as the number of active computers falls below the maximum permitted number.

Select a number from 1 to 10 or select All Computers.
