Use the Partition Values dialog box to:
Set the unit of measure for partitioning
Set the format type for each partition
Set the size for each partition
Partitioning and formatting settings are specific to the Pre-OS Agent.
Following is a description of each of the features in this dialog box.
Select... |
To... |
Percent |
Specify partition sizes as a percent of the entire disk. By default, Symantec LiveState Delivery sets the individual partitions to equal percents totaling 100%. You can change the percent allocation for each partition. |
MB |
Specify partitions sizes in megabytes. |
Displays each partition number based on the number you specified in the Partition Properties dialog box.
Specify the size for each partition by double-clicking each cell. The value is dependent upon the Size Specification (Percent or MB) that you selected.
Note:
– If you specify several partitions of equal percents, the actual
partition sizes may differ because of internal cylinder
alignments.
– If you do not allocate the full disk space, the system prompts
you to automatically extend the last partition to include the
remaining disk space.
To automatically assign the remaining available disk space, select the Rest option.
The last item in the Size column is the total allocated disk space.
Specify the formatting type by double-clicking each cell.
