Starting Replication Administration

To begin replication, you must enable Replication Administration in the Command Center, and connect to a Replication Administration Server. By default, Replication Administration is hidden.

When you enable Replication Administration, only servers that are added to Replication Administration will appear in Site Administration. Any servers that you had previously added to Site Administration will not appear, unless you add them to Replication Administration. Even if you want to use a server only as a Site Administration server, you must add it as a Replication Server while using the Replication Administration.

To enable Replication Administration and connect to a Replication Administration Server

  1. Select and right-click Command Center.

  2. Choose Enable Replication Administration.

The Set Replication Administration Server dialog box appears.

  1. Type the Server Name, User Name, and Password for the Replication Administration Server.  Also, set the Protocol and Port, or accept the default settings.

  2. Click OK.

The server appears under Replication Administration in the Scope pane.

Note:  If you have already set up and saved a Replication Tree, then the entire tree will appear when you connect to the Replication Administration Server.
