Changing the Replication Administration Server

There may be times when you need to use a different server as the Replication Administration Server. For example, if a server fails, or you need to replace hardware.

Warning: When you change the Replication Administration Server, all data about the Replication Tree is lost. You will need to recreate the Replication Tree using the new Replication Administration Server.

To change the Replication Administration Server

  1. Right-click Command Center and select Enable Replication Administration.

  2. If you have already connected to a Replication Administration Server, select Set Replication Administration Server.

  1. The Set Replication Administration Server dialog box appears.

  2. Type the Server Name, User Name, and Password for the new Replication Administration Server. Also, set the Protocol and Port, or accept the default settings.

  3. Click OK.

  4. The new Replication Administration Server appears under Replication Administration in the Scope pane.
