Viewing Partitions and Formats

The Partitions/Formats button displays the following information about the partition:

Item	Description
Action and Partition	The type of action being performed on a partition—System formatting or Data formatting. The assigned partition letter.
Step	The current phase being performed on a partition: Assigned – Job in queue to be executed System formatting – C partition being formatted Formatting – Non-system partition being formatted Done – Job successfully executed Error – Job failed
Status	The current status during job execution: Assigned – Job in queue to be executed Active – Job being executed Done – Job successfully executed Error – Job failed
The following fields contain values only after the partition has been formatted.
Capacity	The partition’s total capacity
Free	The partition’s unallocated disk space
