Override the Default Boot Configuration

To minimize network load, computers should boot locally if possible. However, in the following cases Symantec LiveState Delivery automatically sets network booting after executing the following tasks:

• Partitioning and formatting a computer hard drive.

• Installing, modifying, or updating the operating system or the network software.

• Editing computer data in the Command Center.

You can override the default boot configuration.

To override the default boot configuration

1. In the Scope pane, select and right-click a computer.

2. Click Edit Computer Properties.

3. In the Boot and Security tab, set the Netboot option.

4. Check the Netboot option for network boot.

5. Uncheck the Netboot option to set the computer to boot locally.

6. Click OK.
