Editing Package Job Parameters

After a package is installed on a computer, you can edit the package job parameters.

To edit a computer's package job parameters

  1. Expand Computers in the Scope pane.

  2. Expand All Computers or a computer group name.

  3. Select, then right-click a computer to edit all of the package job parameters

Or,

Expand a computer name, and right-click the package job to edit a single package job parameter.

  1. Click Edit Job Parameters.

  2. In the Set Parameters dialog box, select each package job tab and edit the desired parameter value.

  3. Click OK.

  4. In the Update Package Job dialog box, set the Update the Configuration Database only checkbox.

  5. UncheckUpdate the Configuration Database only (the default setting) to generate an update job, and update the Configuration Database.

  6. Check Update the Configuration Database only to update the Configuration Database only. Your edits are saved to the Configuration Database, but an update job is not generated.

  7. Click Yes or Yes to All to verify the changes to the parameters on the computer.
